NORG # 3 September 9, 2023 Weather Decision – No go!

WEATHER:  Saturday the 9^th, Channels 5, 7, & NBC 10 predict daytime temps in mid-80’s while Channel 4 predicts 87.  All predict nighttime temps in Low to Mid 70’s along with chance of thunderstorms in afternoon.  Ch. 5 says “Muggy, T-Storms”.  The Sunday rain date of the 10^th is not much better.  All predict daytime temps in low 80’s while high 60’s to low 70’s for evening.  They all predict afternoon showers.  NBC 10 gives a precipitation chance of 60% for Saturday and 80% for Sunday; while WBZ 4 has 30% and 40%!  Unfortunately, night launch revolves around the sunset and that is the greatest period of instability in the atmosphere.  The decision is we are a NO GO for both Saturday 9^th (5:30 – 8:30 PM) and the rain date Sunday 10^th (7:00 – 8:30 PM) at the Gallows Hill Pak in Salem, MA.  Moving on to NORG #4 on October 7^th (4:45 – 7:45 PM)!
